Our first Magonomia Adventure: Curse of the One-Eyed Witch, now available!
We’ve now published an introductory adventure for Magonomia Starter Rules: Curse of the One-Eyed Witch by John Tibbetts. You can read the product description and download the adventure for pay-what-you-want on DriveThruRPG.com.
The author, John Tibbetts, is a gaming buddy of mine. This is his first professional adventure and I think he’s made a strong debut. The adventure is specially designed for beginning Magonomia players and GMs. It is fast-paced but not frantic, with a balance of action and problem-solving and plenty of opportunities for the player characters to use their spells. Our internal playtests have shown that because magic is so accessible in Magonomia, it can be a bit of a different play experience than most RPGs people have played before. Curse of the One-Eyed Witch eases players into the world of Enchanted England with a straightforward plot that looks a lot like a traditional D&D-style adventure. There are some surprises along the way, but I won’t spoil them.
Magonomia is based on Fate Core System. If you know the basics of Fate Core or have watched the excellent episode of Wil Wheaton’s Tabletop that demonstrates it, you should be able to pick up the pregenerated characters, a copy of the Magonomia Starter Rules, and play Curse of the One-Eyed Witch in a four-hour game session. GM, be sure to read the adventure ahead of time! Why not give it a try? I’d love to know how it goes!
